In Hoop Choreo, you will take all of the skills that you have learned in your Intro and Hoop I classes and begin to explore transitions and building phrases. Deep dive into how mood, tempo, and character can dramatically change the same set of moves to create something uniquely your own.

In hoop and dance trapeze 1 you will progress from basic mounts and individual skills to short sequences on these beautiful and versatile apparatus. You will begin to learn how to work with the unique characteristic of each apparatus as well as with spin, to whatever extent each student is comfortable.

In Hoop and Dance Trapeze 2 you will build your skill vocabulary on both apparatus, with attention to technique, form, and quality of movement. We will explore transitions and pathways between skills as building blocks for more challenging work.

This progression for graduates from our Intro series, and with instructor approval, will dig into the standards of aerial on fabric, single-point trap, lyra, and hammock. This will include straddle climbs, hip keys, meat hooks, low drops, mounts and more dynamic moves on trap and hoop. This is where students will launch their access to higher level skills. Join us for a carefully supported progression to the next level of skills and expressive potential.
