So….you’ve been fabric flying for awhile. You have a solid vocabulary in the art of aerial fabric. Each skill is done as you were shown by your teacher(s). Where is your voice? Your fabric voice? Your own signature moves? I give you permission to investigate! Your brain will be tickled as you get into some familiar (and some not so familiar) skills from the Russian climb. Oodles of skills from Russian.
Amy Ell – A short name for a short gal with a tall list of accomplishments.
Amy is an Exercise Physiologist, Professional Choreographer(floor and air), Professional dancer/aerialist, Artistic Director(VauLt), GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Master Trainer, Pilates Master Teacher, Thai Massage Therapist, and Vegan Chef. Her first aerial performance was in 1989 on bungee in Houston, Texas.
She went on to study with Robert Davidson in 1991 at the Washington Dance Festival, Seattle, Washington; Vertical Dance on a rock climbing wall(1999) at the Colorado Dance Festival, Boulder, Colorado; many teachers along the way leading up to working with Fred Deb alongside Fidget Feet in Cork, Ireland. Amy went on to teach at Fred’s Festival les Rencontres de Danse Aerienne for 2 years and just completed her 7th year teaching at Fidget Feet’s Irish Aerial Dance Festival. Her specialty is fabric, dance trapeze, and vertical dance(static rope and bungee).
Performance wise, Amy has performed throughout the United States, Ireland, France, and Ecuador.
