We are thrilled to announce the launch of our 2017 Artist Incubator Series.  We are offering residencies for artists to develop new works to be presented at the Apex Aerial Arts studio.

We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis.

Who are the applicants:

We are in search of artists interested in developing and performing original and unique works at Apex Aerial Arts in Seattle’s Capitol Hill.

We seek individual artists and groups who are looking to push the boundaries of their art forms including theater, dance, music, circus arts and just about anything else.

We are unable to accommodate fire or suspension performance.

Priority is given to proposals that challenge traditional ideas of what live performance is or integrates new technologies or new techniques into live performance.

What You Will Receive:

  • Up to 20 hours of rehearsal time per week depending on the needs outlined in the proposal.
  • An opportunity to present your work as a ticketed event at Apex Aerial Arts. Apex will provide stage, lighting and technical support.
  • Apex will provide promotional support for the show.

More about the program:

  • Accepted proposals must culminate in a ticketed show to take place at Apex Aerial Arts on the dates agreed to on the Artist Contract
  • Applicants must be over 18 years of age and be a Washington state resident. Specifics of the residency contract will be negotiated upon acceptance into the program.
