We will begin to explore momentum with beats as our focus. We’ll work on technique, lines and efficiency as well as look at some ways to use beats to add ease to existing repertoire. Then, time permitting, we’ll work on some fun small drops, or, as I like to call them, punctuation drops.
Students should be able to straddle in the air with control and be comfortable hanging from their hands without a wrap.
About the Instructor:
Sadie has been dancing and practicing movement arts from an early age. As a homeschooler through middle and high school, Sadie was able to pursue her development as an artist, and sought out training in every activity that interested her. Over the last 7 years, she has studied aerial, clowning and other disciplines at The New England Center For Circus Arts, The San Francisco Circus Center, and Versatile Arts. She has also collaborated in creating and performed in various clown, theater, and vaudeville shows around the Pacific Northwest. Currently, she lives a ferry away on Vashon Island and teaches aerial at UMO School Of Physical Arts and SANCA. She is excited to continue learning and to share her knowledge about movement!
