Description:
Vertical apparatuses present a unique challenge in transitioning from ground to air. How does one approach, connect with, and then mount fabric/rope without looking like everyone else? This workshop will give you new techniques for generating more fluid movement, and an improvisational structure to reveal personal expression.
Student Prerequisites:
At least one year of aerial experience on either fabric or rope; ability to protect oneself while improvising (getting out of sticky places with control).

Julianna Hane

Julianna Hane traded life on a cotton farm to become a dancer and aerialist. She holds both a BA and MFA in Dance, a certificate in Laban Movement Analysis, and a diploma from The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO. As the founder of Revolve Aerial Dance has taught dance and aerial arts in both studios and colleges. She is currently the Director of Training of Born to FlyTM Aerial Teacher Programs and Support.
